Yes, more travel photos...

Someone just asked me how I could pull off taking over 600 photos in a week. I think it has something to do with nervous energy, but mostly its my love of documenting human experience in its simplest forms. And there’s no time when I’m more focused on that than travel—when walking down each street is a sensory overload of rich, new, life.

I was particularly fortunate this year to have three weeks in northern Mexico and Texas this summer, along with a week in Cuba in December. I combed through thousands of photos of mariachis, Cuban cars and Texan plains to assemble what I feel is a good representation of what I so hungrily saw. This is the third web site of travel photography I’ve labored over, and I think it’s the best yet.

Highlights include:
Llamas and alpaca noses in Texas
The all night hamburger stand in Food
Plastic dolls and screaming mannequins in Living
Cortes’ decaying fortress in Veracruz
A bicycling knife sharpener in Mexico City
The 248 steps of Teotihuacan
Creepy remains of a priest in Puebla
The sweet treats of Zacatecas
Bare bosoms and horse traders in Real de Catorce
Lines of mariachis and ladies for hire in Monterrey
Vintage cars, spectacular sunsets, and traveling cakes in Cuba
